handigarh has become a hotspot not just for the Punjabi film industry, but for Bollywood as well. With several Punjabi movies being shot in and around city, it is also playing host to writer-director Abhinav Kashyap too for his latest project,Besharam starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, and Pallavi Sharda (an Indian-Australian actor who was seen in My Name is Khan).
The unit is here for a month-long shooting schedule. Ranbir has been shooting in Chandigarh Industrial Area Phase 2, Phase 1, factories and other parts of the city.
Apart from him, actor-comedian Javed Jaffrey too was seen on the sets. Sources have revealed that it is a cops-and-robbers chase story, and the Kapoor family will be working together for the first time. Rishi Kapoor is playing the role of a Haryanvi cop whereas Ranbir is essaying the role of an orphan who grows up to a street-smart, sturdy and blatant outlaw on the run.
The tagline of the movie "Na samman ka moh, na apmaan ka bhay", roughly translated "No lust for respect, no fear of disrespect" goes well with the 'revealed' story line. Ranbir is expected to shoot in Chandigarh and Punjab whereas it is believed that Rishi and Neetu will be shooting in Delhi.
