he music of Naughty Jatts, directed by Pankaj Batra was recently launched in Chandigarh. The star cast of the move, including Aarya Babbar, Neeru Bajwa, Binu Dhillon were present at the occasion.
While talikng about the music, music director Anil Sagar said, "Since film music has gone international now, our target is not only to reach out to our viewers in India but also overseas. For that matter, our target audience is not only the elite class but also those who reside in the far-flung pockets of rural Punjab. We have something for everyone, ranging from the high adrenaline desi beats to soulful, peppy music, along with romantic tunes."
Lead actress Neeru Bajwa said, "I think this album has the kind of music that the audience has been looking forward to for a pretty long time. All the songs are tasteful, to say the least. While some of the tracks are peppy, the others have comic punches to keep the audience in high spirits."
The album has as many as 7 songs, including the title track, Naughty Jatts. Noted Bollywood playback singer Jaspinder Narula, Roshan Prince, Harshdeep Kaur and others have lend their voices to the songs penned by Devshi Khanduri, Kaka Purian and G-Deep. The music has been composed by Jaggi Singh, G-Deep, Sham Balkar, Vikram Khanjuria and Anil Sagar. On the ever-burgeoning trend of item numbers in Punjabi movies, Batra added, "The songs in my movies are never out of the script. I am personally not in favour of the growing cult that is corroding our rich and vibrant culture."
With hit songs like Main tainu samjhawan ki from previous movies, the directors are pretty hopeful about continuing the trend of innovative Punjabi film music.
