Chandigarh lads travel to Spain for training

he Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association is leaving no stone unturned to bring out the best from the up and coming tennis players from this region. The CLTA is also training enthusiasts from the rural background who aim to make it big in the game.
Taking a giant leap forward, six trainees from CHART (Chandigarh Academy for Rural Tennis) hailing from the rural areas of Haryana were sent to for a three-week special advanced training programme in tennis in Madrid, Spain.
The team includes four boys and two girls. These are Ravita and Naresh Badgujar of Palwal, Vikrant Dahiya of Sonipat, Krishan of Rohtak, Princy Panchal of Gurgaon and Ranjeet Singh of Kangra in Himachal Pradesh. All these CHART players in the age group of 11 to 18 years were undergoing specialized training at the CLTA.
The Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, and an avid tennis fan himself wished luck to these tennis players said, "Visiting Spain, that possesses world's greatest tennis players, is going to be the biggest achievement of their lives."
