Mountview, one of the town's ace luxury hotels, also offers an exquisite and sumptuous culinary experience to guests and diners. The hotel's restaurant Magic Wok has introduced Summer Bonanza – 2013, a food festival which includes an extended Thai and Mexican menu.
Chief Chef Chetak Goyal, said, "Chinese food is the main feature of our restaurant but our foreign visitors have requested several times to introduce something different and spicy. After receiving numerous feedbacks and responses we decided to introduce food festivals and this time we have come up with the Summer Bonanza festival that includes Thai and Mexican cuisines."
Yeshveer Singh, manager F&B says, "Thai and Mexican are not challenging cuisines but to retain the authentic flavour is a challenging task. We trained our staff and also perfected the art of preparing the dishes. This is like refreshment for our staff too as new cuisine always brings freshness with it and breaks the monotony of the existing menu."
"We have worked really hard to dish out authentic Mexican and Thai dishes to our clients. We have used high end products, authentic herbs and spices for this," adds Chef Goyal.
Jetinder Singh Sokhi, F&B cost controller, says, "As part of the festival, the dishes are all moderately priced and will be in the affordably range for most diners."
"Apart from the authentic fare, like pad thai, fajita ala tofu, walnut muffin and fresh mango with snow white will be some of the attractions for visitors," adds Chef Goyal.
The festival is on till August 31, 2013 at Magic Wok restaurant at Hotel Mountview.
