A three-day-long Chandigarh Literature Festival will be held this year, from 8th to 10th of November. A unique format has been conceptualised for the festival, wherein thirteen leading Indian critics have been invited to nominate books, that will then be critically dissected and analysed after being read out at the Festival. Film critic, Raja Sen and directors Raj Kumar Gupta and Ajay Bahl will be part of the panel of critics.
Altaf Tyrewala, the director of the Chandigarh Literature Festival said, "Literature is similar to a mirror; something obvious, yet invisible, that originates from letters and is bestowed upon the society. And this literature festival is going to display the brilliant books sans prejudices."
