"I am never scared of anyone because I am a comedian first, which is my forte, and then a politician," says the quintessential entertainer Bhagwant Mann, who launched his comic CD, Kulfi Garma Garam 2 after a sabbatical of four years.
Mann has bounced back with double vigor and in this album he has spared no one, be it politicians, government departments, including Police or Sports, other singers, fellow entertainers and even businessmen.
"When I released my cassette in 1993, I was told, 'He speaks against Police and Politicians, he'll be shot soon, for sure!' but the quality of creating satire on existent subjects proved a blessing in disguise for me as people made me Bhagwant Mann from Bhagwant."
After Sardar Jaspal Singh Bhatti's demise, Mann is the only comedian who jests against all forms of authority, and with his wit and satires he brings to light the harsh realities that exist in the society and in chorus spreads messages that hit hard on the minds of the general public.
"Comedy is an element that adds grace to a movie, it is like Ginger that tastes good if used sensibly in any dish but if you'll make a dish of ginger only, nobody would like it!" he says typically.
The ace comedian is working for his upcoming movie Moga to Melbourne Via Chandigarh and will keep appearing at regular intervals for the love of his fans.
