There's no need to leave the city to try different delicacies, as hotel JW Marriott is organising the International Pastry Festival, on till 31st October, where pastries from around the world will be made by Chandigarh Baking Company.
Speaking about the International Pastry festival, Pastry Chef Vikesh Singh said, "People have a misconception that a cake cut finely into rectangular pieces is called a pastry whereas the truth is that making a pastry is entirely a different concept. During this festival I intend to introduce as much as 80 different types of pastry from different countries, and that will include an array of hot, baked well, linzer tart, as well as alcoholic pasties to satisfy the sweet carvings of people in and around Chandigarh."
This festival is Vikesh's endeavor to introduce pastries from across the globe to people in Chandigarh. " Most of the bakery shops offer the same flavors of pastries but I believe that one must experiment and introduce flavors of the season to food buffs and the best thing is that all the pastries cost only Rs 95" he adds.
