Bhagat Singh is considered to be one of the most influential revolutionaries of the Indian independence movement. To pay homage to the great martyr, singer-actor Jasbir Jassi launched his latest album dedicated to Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
The album has songs including Chal Uth Chal Bhagat Singh, Pagdi Sambhaal Jatta, Sarfaroshi ki Tamanna, Ghodi and a brand new version of Rang De Basanti.
While speaking to Guardian20 Jassi says, "It was all while passing through Khatkar Kalan, Punjab when I decided to explore the martyr's ancestral village. I spent three years doing research before coming up with this album, as I wanted to touch every aspect of his life."
The album has been released online on all digital platforms in order to maximize its reach and accessibility. Talking further about his experience during research, Jassi adds, "It had been an experience beyond expression. I could feel his spirit while walking the same paths that he once tread and during the time that I spent in the library. He was an intelligent man who was extremely passionate for his country." He further said, "This album is just a token of respect that we all have for the great man."
