Spread over 11.15lakh sq ft (built up area), Elante is L&T's (Larsen and Toubro) first retail venture and Chandigarh's biggest one-stop shopping mall. "This project will definitely transform shopping experience in the region. This is the biggest mall in the surrounding area including Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and part of Haryana," says Awadh Vashishta, General Manager, operations L&T Realty.
Sources believe that the company has invested a whooping 1600 crore in the project. With more than 200 stores including numerous foreign brands, it is going to be a luxurious branded fair.
The mall houses first outlets of Zara, Marks & Spenser, Brooks Brother, Kenneth Cole, Super dry, Quick Silver & Roxy, Mango, Bebe, Charls and Keith, Nine West, Le Senza, MAC, L'Occitane, Parcos, The Helkitt, Shoppers Stop, Swaroski, Henleys, the Dabangg Khan's Being Human, besides other brands.
There's a lot on the platter in terms of food as the mall offers Chinese, Thai, Continental, Italian, South Indian and Pan Aisan cuisines at its food court. The food court has a seating capacity of 700 people and includes outlets like Chillis, Pirates of Grill, Kobe Sizzler, Häagen-Dazs, The Beer Café, Under Doggs, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and Choka La.
Going by data, the mall has a huge parking space that can accommodate over 5000 cars and unique central pay stations are being installed for making parking payment inside the mall while shopping, making it a hassle free affair.
There's good news for movie buffs too as the mall houses eight PVR multiplexes with a seating capacity of 1800 people. Not to be missed is the 'Funcity' spread over 25000 sq ft, a space with multiple joy rides and various games to amuse young ones.
Vashishta adds, "This mall is for the premium, as well as for elite class who will mostly be accompanied with their families. We are consciously looking for the pleasure of families and avoided party clubs to keep intact the decorum; and embarrassment at bay."
Panchkula resident Anuj Bajaj says, "Earlier I used to travel to Delhi or Noida for shopping as Chandigarh doesn't have outlets of many famous brands."
Spread over 30, 000 sq ft, Blu'O, a bowling alley also forms part of the mall.
